Bill Barbeau is a Southwestern, abstract, landscape artist. He has developed his unique style of painting with acrylics over the past 20 years. He lives and paints in the Albuquerque area.
Bill has been featured in newspaper articles like the Albuquerque Tribune where he and four other local artists were showing their various types of Southwestern landscape paintings. Bill was additionally on view in SouthwestArt magazine in February 2008...and his one-man-show was a hit with local collectors.
As an artist, he enjoys the wonderful adobe architecture of New Mexico, which provides him with a rich source of inspiration for his paintings. Fusing sunlight and shadows in his images of the beautiful and complex texture that is the New Mexico's high desert country. He paints the rugged rock formations, canyons and water with intense and vibrant color patterns. Bill often incorporates steps into his landscapes which lead up to hidden adobes where you...the viewer...can almost smell the earth and feel the dry wind surround you.
"In some small way I hope that I can urge you to love nature just a bit more and appreciate our beautiful southwestern landscape as you never have seen it captured before." -Bill Barbeau
